Meet The Team

Jared is the managing director of MicroTech Limited, a Christchurch based group of technology companies specialising in multi-media marketing. A well-known videographer, with over 25 years of experience of filming, editing and production, Jared has expanded his skill set to include UAV technology. He is an accomplished pilot with extensive flight hours in varied and challenging environments. Jared enjoys the unique challenges presented by aerial imagery and saw a great opportunity to provide this specialised service, missing from the market. A background in computing, photography and video have allowed Jared to pursue his passion for UAV technology.

Jared doesn’t drink on Tuesdays.

A team of so many creative geniuses needs some-one to control the purse strings.  Caroline manages the finances for Helicam Pro.  Along with managing the daily operations of the company, Caroline has the final say over the ludicrous requests for unnecessary big boys toys.

22 years of IT consulting worldwide have barely prepared Caroline for this role.

Paul’s vast experience with UAV technology makes him a key member of the Helicam Pro team.  Add to that over 40 years’ experience as a videographer and editor, both throughout New Zealand and overseas, he is an obvious choice to head our Research and Development initiative. In addition to working extensively in New Zealand, internationally Paul has filmed and edited a number of high profile events and conferences for The Bhaktivedanta Institute in Calcutta, San Francisco and Rome. His diverse experience has seen him shooting videos in some most unusual places (such as caves and helicopters) and with some very interesting people (such as the inventor of the Laser, Professor Charles Townes, many prominent scientists, Ph.D.’s and Nobel Laureates).

Paul has recently moved to Auckland and will be responsible for our North Island projects. (We haven’t told him this yet.)

A very recent addition to the Helicam Pro team is Steve McGirr.

Steve brings an abundance of technical expertise and years of digital video editing experience.  He is in charge of our digital workflow and maintains our technical environment. After 15 years of consulting around the world, Steve has returned home.  He spent most of his time working for blue-chip companies throughout the European Union.

He still lives with his Mum.
